Matthew graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Honors and joined Symmetry Physiotherapy in 2011. Matthew is the Professional Development and Education manager for Symmetry Physiotherapy and is also a sessional academic staff member at La Trobe University School of Physiotherapy.
Matthew is a member of the La Trobe University Sport and Exercise Medicine Research Centre and is currently completing his PhD in biomechanics and implications for rehabilitation in hip pathology. His research and work has seen him travel the globe. Most notably, he recently returned from a biomechanics fellowship at The University of Salford in the UK.
Clinically, Matthew has a special interest in lower limb biomechanics as well as hip and groin pain, especially the identification and treatment of individuals at risk of developing persistent pain and/or arthritis. This area has seen Matthew present nationally and internationally, including the FIFA Future of Football Medicine
