Andrew is an experienced physiotherapist and senior clinical and health services researcher. He has worked in both the Victorian and Western Australian healthcare systems as a clinician, researcher and senior policymaker. He specialises in musculoskeletal health, specifically osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, inflammatory arthritis and persistent pain. Andrew graduated with first class honours in his physiotherapy degree (Curtin University, WA), holds a PhD in musculoskeletal health (University of Melbourne) and is one of a handful of Australian physiotherapists who has been awarded Fellowship with the Australian College of Physiotherapists (FACP).
In 2007, Andrew was awarded a National Health and Medical Research Council clinical postdoctoral fellowship to undertake advanced research in musculoskeletal health and chronic pain. Andrew currently holds an Associate Professor position at the School of Physiotherapy and Exercise Science at Curtin University.
