After discovering a passion for anatomy from working for nearly a decade as a surgical nurse in the public health sector, Lewis returned to study and attained his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia. Dedicating his weekends working in the SANFL and SAAFL, Lewis has a strong base in sports injury management, and has a professional enthusiasm for management of chronic pain conditions and pain science research. Lewis continues to develop his knowledge of manual therapy, attending courses both in Adelaide and interstate, enabling him to deliver treatment based upon the most recent evidence and research. Lewis has a personal interest in music and the arts, performing as a principle cellist in the Adelaide Youth Orchestra and playing bass in numerous bands around Adelaide's live music scene.
