Kylie joined the Southside Physiotherapy team in September 2013 after completing her Master of Physiotherapy. Prior to this, Kylie completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Dance at the Western Australian Academy of the Performing Arts in 2008 and spent time as a professional contemporary dancer in NSW and ACT. It was her strong interest in dance injuries and elite athletes that led her to pursue a career in physiotherapy with the aim of one day becoming a specialist in sports and dance physiotherapy.
Kylie has a strong professional interest in musculoskeletal injuries, alignment correction, post-operative protocols, return to sports, and strength and conditioning work with particular focus on dance, Pilates and football injuries.
Kylie is a qualified Pilates instructor who runs the core strengthening classes at Southside Physiotherapy. She also runs falls prevention groups and gym rehabilitation programs, and performs dance and pre-pointe assessments for dancers.
