I was born and raised in Brisbane and attained an Honours Degree in Occupational Therapy at UQ. I did a student placement in Perth in myofascial trigger point therapy and was offered a job upon graduating so moved West with my two young daughters, but I soon met a nice doctor who lived in Kalgoorlie, so moved there and set up a practice that quickly became very busy. Whilst there, we established a large occupational health and medical centre which we later sold, and I completed a Masters Degree in Acupuncture in Melbourne (RMIT). My family grew by another daughter and a son. After moving back to Perth, I worked with a lovely general practice in Victoria Park, and completed a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education. For the last seven years, I've worked in Mt Lawley with GP on Beaufort, as a "GP OT," helping with elderly patients' needs, chronic disease management, diabetes education and the treatment of muscoloskeletal pain with soft tissue therapy, acupuncture and ergonomics.
