I am an Australian Neurosurgeon specialising in surgery of the spine. After training in neurosurgery, I completed further specialised training in spine surgery with a combined orthopaedic and neurosurgery fellowship at the University of Calgary in Canada. I have additional postgraduate qualifications in biomedical engineering.
I am based at the North Shore Hospital Campus in Sydney, including public and private hospitals. I am one of 2 neurosurgeons in the Spinal Injuries Unit, providing services to spinal injured patients from the northern half of NSW. I am committed to various spinal research projects and surgical education, to improve care for patients.
I offer a full range of adult spine surgeries including complex spinal surgeries for degenerative disease, spinal deformity, traumatic injuries and spinal tumours. I also perform modern and minimally invasive spine surgeries for other spinal conditions including disc bulges, spinal stenosis, nerve and spinal cord compression.
