Dr Thiruvengadam (known as Murali) has joined Lane Steet Medical Centre from early Sept 2014. He has been working as general practitioner in Western Sydney for the past 3 years.Dr Murali Thiruvengadam obtained his Medical Degree from Dr M G R Medical University ,Chennai in 2000.He went to United Kingdom to pursue further postgraduate training and has subsequently worked in various specialities including Geriatrics,Trauma and Orthopaedics ,Rehabilitation ,Acute Medicine and General Surgery.
He moved to Australia and continued his training initially at Ryde Hospital and transferred to Westmead hospital ,where he gained experience in several medical and surgical specialities. He also underwent training in Paediatric Emergency at Children’s Hospital ,Westmead. He subsequently joined the Australian General Practice Training Programme and obtained postgraduate degree in General Practice from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
