Dr Maria Boulton has enjoyed working in general practice for 12 years. She completed her medical degree at The University of Queensland in 2002 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Maria Boulton is highly experienced in all aspects of general practice. She worked at the Mackay Well Women’s Clinic which specialises in contraception, insertion of contraceptive implants, preconception advice, fertility, menopause, pap smears and osteoporosis. She has also worked as a surgical assistant and in a skin cancer clinic. She is experienced in doing skin cancer checks and performing skin excisions. She is also qualified to perform work/pre employment medicals and provide travel vaccinations. She has always enjoyed working with babies, children and young adults, all the more so, since starting her own family. She has a special interest in the management of food allergies, eczema, anaphylaxis and asthma in children. She speaks Spanish as well.
