JP (as Jean-Pierre is known) and his family moved to Albany from South Africa in 2010. After qualifying from the University of Pretoria with Honours in 2001, JP completed a year of compulsory community service in a small African town where he enjoyed seeing elephants roaming the streets, and would fall asleep to the sound of lions roaring in the evenings. A little different to Albany - but Albany is now firmly home for JP, his wife and their three children - where they feel they have found paradise! Before moving to Albany, JP ran his own Practice for seven years and he will now be working alongside Barry as the new owner of our Practice. Barry is very pleased to welcome and be working with JP to ensure the on-going care of all our patients. As a general dentist, JP enjoys all aspects of dentistry as well as having a particular interest in conventional Orthodontics and clear invisible aligners to straighten teeth. In 2015, he received a fellowship, FICCDE in Orthodontics .
