Matthew Hope is an orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in foot and ankle surgery. His practice covers both children and adults and he is regularly asked to perform complex revision surgery for patients not only Queensland but interstate. He was the first surgeon in Australia to perform 3D printed talus replacement surgery and will perform a variety of complex surgeries for children and adults with birth malformations or trauma as a result of trauma.
A keen sportsman Dr Hope has an interest in sporting injuries of the foot and ankle. He regularly treats national and state level athletes in a variety or sports including: Rugby, Football, Netball, Gymnastics and Athletics.
He is currently the Chair of the Qld RACS Trauma Committee, is a member of the Qld Health Surgical Advisory Committee along with other various committee positions.
